Everything and NothingIt was everything in the sense that it is all you’ve ever known. But it was nothing in the sense that there were more important things. Everything because it was most of what defined you. Nothing because there were other things that made you who you are.Everything and Nothing
Either way, it still hurts. You feel like you’ve lost everything, though, in reality, you have lost nothing. You still have your family, as well as whatever’s left of whatever dignity you thought you had. Those things are what should be your everything. But knowing that doesn’t help. Midnight on the MidtownThe red and blue lights that I see flashing a few feet away from where I’m standing are nothing new. For that matter, neither is the bright yellow crime scene tape. MasqueradeThis was all her mother's fault, she mused silently, what'd she have to go and move right before high school for, anyhow? In all honesty, it made no sense. They could have just stayed in North Carolina, but no. They'd just had to come to New York. Andn ow she found herself standing in the middle of a moving student body. Needless to say, Leah Keller was not amused. Glancing irritably at the schedule in her hand, she shifted her backpack to her other shoulder and looked up again, wondering how she was going to find her next class. And then it happened. Before she knew it, she was falling foMasquerade
